Release Notes

June 2015 update - have added an experimental version of Texture3D. Try downloading JBBRXG11_Setup2013Tex3D.exe
Quick update - have built a new version of setup to work with Visual Studio 2013 and the CodePlex version of XNA 4. Should still work with VS2010, but am not able to test this at the moment. The new version is here to download as JBBRXG11_Setup2013.exe.

This is the fifh beta release of JBBRXG11. Some fixes to Model (to allow 32 bit index buffers and adjacency indices). An extension to ComputeBuffer to create staging buffers as necessary to allow SetData to work with unordered access buffers. This release includes two more small downloadable samples - one shows a compute shader z sorting sprites so that they display alpha blending nicely. The other shows a teapot model (from Tasaq) with geometry shader using adjacency data to provide a silhouette edge. As before the samples will run with the installed libraries (first installation option). If you have installed to the standard place they should compile and run immediately. If you install somewhere else, you may need to update the references in the game and content projects.

As before the setup program has been tested only on Windows 7. It assumes that Visual Studio 2010 with XNA 4 is installed. Given this prerequisite it should put a single project template into VS2010 under C# / JBBGXG11 and will provide item templates for the content project: JSpriteFont and three Effects (one simple, like the XNA version, two including tesselation outlines for quad and triangle tesselation respectively). It creates a project similar to XNA's Windows Game 4 - it will compile and show a blue window. The uninstaller is a little odd - it does work, but will ask for admin authorization twice.
